FAQ
Yes, I provide secure, convenient telehealth therapy services throughout California. Telehealth allows clients to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of their home, office, or any confidential space using a phone, tablet, or computer.
Virtual therapy offers the same compassionate, professional support as in-person care while providing added flexibility for busy schedules, transportation challenges, or clients who simply prefer remote sessions.
My goal is to make quality mental health care accessible, supportive, and convenient—wherever you are on your healing journey
A Good question! After, reading my ABOUT section on this site the next step would be to schedule a consultation. After the initial consultation, if you feel comfortable we can move forward with scheduling the initial session. The Initial session will allow us to get to know each other better. Generally, people know after the first session if they want to work with me.
Many people have found that participating in therapy has helped them feel better, gain confidence and manage their symptoms. In addition, research suggests that persons with mental health problems fair better with participation in therapeutic services versus no intervention or only medication management.
Yes. I see children 16 and up.
In addition to getting to know you, the initial session is the time for you to start to share your story, talk about your goals and what you would like to change. We will review your intake questionnaire which reviews relevant background information.
Generally appointments are weekly. By meeting weekly we are able to progress forward on your treatment goals at a faster pace. Once some or all of your goals are met we can discuss the appropriateness of fewer sessions and/or termination.
Sessions last 50-60 minutes.
I deeply value your privacy and confidentiality. I provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being fully yourself. All sessions and client records are maintained in accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards and handled with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and care.
I understand the importance of privacy for professionals, public figures, community leaders, and individuals navigating sensitive personal matters. My goal is to create an environment where you can heal, grow, and process life’s challenges with confidence and trust.
Before beginning services, you will receive a copy of my Notice of Privacy Practices. While confidentiality is strongly protected, California law does require me to break confidentiality in certain situations involving suspected child abuse, elder or dependent adult abuse, or if there is a serious danger to yourself or others.
I accept the following insurances: Alameda Alliance managed by Beacon Health, Blue Cross Anthem, Optum, United Behavioral Health. I also will bill California Victims Compensation if you have been approved for services.
In addition to insurance you may be able to pay for therapy with a Health Savings Account or Flexible Savings Account.
Therapeutic Sessions range from $200-300 per 50-60 minute session.
My fees vary depending on the type of service provided. I offer both private pay and select insurance-based services. While I accept some insurance plans for individual therapy, certain services — including couples therapy, consulting, and specialized services — are offered on a private pay basis only.
I believe therapy is an investment in your emotional wellness, relationships, and overall quality of life. Private pay services also allow for increased flexibility, enhanced privacy, personalized treatment planning, and freedom from many of the limitations often required by insurance companies.
For clients using private pay, I gladly accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) when eligible. I can also provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt that clients may submit directly to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their individual benefits and coverage.
Payment methods and fee details will be discussed prior to the start of services so that we can find an arrangement that best supports your needs.
If you have questions about insurance coverage, private pay rates, superbills, or payment options, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
